Mobile phones have become an important part of university students’ academic life. In the present time, students use mobile phones not only for communication but also for study-related activities such as online classes, assignment preparation, academic discussion, digital reading, information searching, and examination preparation. The present descriptive study focuses on the role of mobile phones in enhancing academic activities among university students. Mobile phones help students access study material, communicate with teachers, participate in online learning, and remain connected with academic work beyond classroom hours. They also support self-learning, collaborative learning, and quick access to educational resources. However, the study also highlights that mobile phones may create problems such as distraction, excessive screen time, dependence on online material, and misuse of social media. Therefore, the academic value of mobile phones depends on responsible, disciplined, and purpose-based use. The study concludes that mobile phones can enhance academic activities among university students when they are used mainly for learning, communication, and academic development.
