The rapid growth of the electronics industry has significantly contributed to economic development, technological advancement, and employment generation worldwide. However, this growth has also resulted in increased environmental concerns, particularly regarding industrial waste generation, resource depletion, carbon emissions, and electronic waste (e-waste). The Indian electronics industry, one of the fastest-growing manufacturing sectors, faces substantial challenges in balancing industrial expansion with environmental sustainability. Green manufacturing has emerged as a strategic approach that integrates environmentally responsible production methods with economic efficiency. This research paper examines the adoption of green manufacturing practices and e-waste reduction strategies within the Indian electronics industry. The study explores sustainable production systems, resource-efficient technologies, waste minimization techniques, circular economy principles, and environmental regulatory frameworks. Using secondary data and an extensive review of literature, the paper analyzes the effectiveness of green manufacturing initiatives in reducing environmental impact while improving operational performance. The findings reveal that green manufacturing not only contributes to waste reduction and environmental protection but also enhances competitiveness, resource efficiency, and long-term sustainability. The study concludes with recommendations for policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to strengthen sustainable manufacturing practices within India's electronics sector.
